Where's my head...

This past week has been crazy.  I feel like I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off.  Remember in the last post I said I had dropped my phone...check it out:

So, here is where the story gets interesting.  As I said, they were overnighting me a phone.  I waited around until 5pm on Monday to get my new phone in.  I've activated one of these phones before by myself before so I thought there would be no problem.  Oh was I ever wrong.  I couldn't get this thing activated, so I called verizon customer service.  They couldn't get it done, so they transfer me to technical support.  Guess what, that didn't work!  They said it must be a defective phone so they overnight me another one.  Luckily, the week before my boyfriend had given me his old droid incase I ever needed it, so I was able to use it for the night.  It's a regular Droid btw.  So, Tuesday it comes in around 1:30.  I open it up and it's not even an Incredible 2, it's a Droid 2.  To say I was pissed off is the understatement of the year.  I call Verizon and ask wteff their problem is and how they sent me this phone. (My only assumption is that we activated the Droid and they got some wires crossed.)  Anyhow, I talk to a couple people at Verizon and I'm being as polite as I possibly can, which is getting increasingly difficult as the minutes tick by.  Verizon tells me that a company called Asurion is who I did my original claim with and they sent me the first one.  When that one was "defective" (I'll explain the quotation marks in 2 shakes of a lambs tail) I should have called Asurion not verizon to get another phone.  At this point, steam is coming out of my ears and I just want my dang phone to work.  So, the gentelman I was speaking with asks me to grab the original phone and try again.  And "surprisingly" it doesn't work.  Then he asks me a question no one in my previous 3 phone conversations asks me. "Is the back on the phone?"  I now feel like a complete dumbass but at the same time, how was I suppose to know that had to be on there to activate the dang thing?!  Needless to say, my phone was never defective and I've sent back the Droid 2.

In between all of that mess, I got phone calls and e-mails about some job opportunites.  One of the staffing agencies called Tuesday and said a Medical Supply company wanted to interview with me the following day at 10am.  I was super nervous, but I'm awesome so I held it together.  The next day as I'm walking out I get a phone call from a company called Suddenlink asking if I can come in for an interview at 1:30.  2 interviews in one day?  Don't question my badassness....

So, I go to both interviews and everything seems to go swimmingly.  I didn't expect to hear anything back soon, so I just went home to relax.  At about 4:50  I got a call from the staffing agency telling me the Medical Mart was offering me the job.  I was excited!!  The only question I had was on the pay, I had heard 2 different pay rates and was curious as to which it was.  Staffing agent says she'll check it out and let me know, but to come up to the office at 8 the next morning.  I went, she told what the pay rate was, I did the drug test, filled out paper work and went to the Medical Mart.  This is where things get even more interesting.

I walk in and the employees are looking at me like I have a third arm growing out of my body and ask if they can help me.  In my mind I'm thinking, You're all dumbasses, I got hired here...stop looking at me like that.  I actually say, "I'm looking for Charlene, she gave me the job."  Charlene walks out giving me the same look and this is where I begin to think, I must have something on my face, why didn't I look at myself in the mirror before I got out of the car.  Here is the conversation(My thoughts are in italics):

Charlene: "Ummmm...the staffing ageny made it sound like you didn't want the job so we gave it to someone else."
Is this real life?
Me: "Are you kidding me?!"
C: "No, I spoke with her at close to 5 yesterday and that's how she made it sound."
M: "No, she asked what the pay rate was, because you nor I were sure what that was."
Bitch, I'm about to punch you in the face for either lying or being a complete dumbass.
C: "Well, we already called someone else in."
Tiffany, do not punch this woman, do no punch this woman.
M: "So, what, I just go home then?"
C: "Yea, I guess so."

I take my purse, set it on the ground and tackle Charlene.  I call her all kinds of nasty names and tell her how much of an idiot could she possibly be to confuse a conversation on money with whether a person wants the job or not!  I start ransacking the place and then leave with both middle fingers up and say "I'm out, bitches!"

I wish I had done that...it would have felt much more rewarding.  I actually just turned around and walked out.  I did slam the door incredibly hard.  I had to have some kind of justification!  I called the staffing agent and explained what happened, she was very apologetic and said she would get to the bottom of it.  Around 4 she calls and tells me what I already know and apologizes again and tells me of a few of other jobs, another sales job a pt receptionist and a full time receptionist.  I tell her which ones to send my resume to and we will go from there.

I did however, on the way home from the Medical Mart, get a phone call from another company wanting to interview with me, so I have that set up for Monday at 9 am.  I also got an e-mail from an insurance company wanting to know when I'm available for an interview next week.  So, not all is completely effed up this week.

Friday, I help my sister out in her classroom, just helping her take stuff down and get organized for next year and then went and picked up my nephew to stay for the weekend.  We made cookies, watched movies, played for hours and slept a little in between all of that.  Here are some cute pics below:

The cookies say I love Tee Tee, according to Landon :)

 Ice mustache you a questions...

We had lots of fun, it was the first time he'd ever spent an entire weekend away from his parents and the only way I could get home to go back home without bawling his eyes out, thus making me feel like the worst aunt in the world, was to trick him.  BUT it wasn't a bad trick.  His horse had a baby Saturday so when I woke him up this morning I told him that Mommy and Daddy had a surprise for him at the house, we gotta hurry up and get ready!  Her name is Mya!

I also downloaded an app called PicsArt on my phone.  It's a really cool app that allows you to make collages with photos on your phone, and I'm sure your social network sites if you have them.  Look at a couple I made:

And last but not least, my sister and I finally decided on an invitation for our dads retirement party.  I think it tured out really cute:

Anyhow, that's been my crazy week.  The only thing I've missed in all of it is Josh.  He's working 7 12's for a while and I only get a couple hours to see him...it makes me sad.  I miss him ridiculously.

I gotta go get ready for my friend LeAnn's baby shower.  Little Khloe will be here before we know it!

Until next time! :)
